What is the Immigrant Children Lawyers Network (ICLN)?The Immigrant Children Lawyers Network is a group of accredited representatives, attorneys and those providing technical assistance to accredited representatives and lawyers of immigrant children. The ICLN was formed after the April 2006 "Children on their Own " conference in El Paso, Texas that brought together advocates, government officials, private and public service providers for immigrant children. ICLN seeks to ensure the highest levels of representation for immigrant children, to coordinate advocacy efforts and to share information from across the country. Who can participate?Any professional who provides direct legal representation or works on policy issues related to immigrant children before the EOIR and USCIS, and those who provide technical assistance to these representatives may participate. Please email Sara McDowell at smcdowell@uscridc.org with the type of work you do, where you work and how your work involves representing or advocating on behalf of immigrant children. ICLN Conference CallsThe ICLN hosts nationwide conference calls and invites interested individuals to participate. Calls are typically scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. est.
